Mad Science Austin
This action-filled event blends high-flying demonstrations, silly science and spectacular demonstrations to breath-taking effect. The show is begun with a comic magic bag, but moves into a flattening bottle, a funny tug-of-plungers gag and a set of "inseparable" spheres, all to explain the drama of the air pressure all around us.

Next, the Mad Scientist creates a hot-air balloon with the children, and sends it soaring over their heads. Then a vortex (tornado) generator sends smoke circles out, blows out candles, and even safely knocks items off of heads, William Tell-style.

A thrilling fireball demonstration is next, using air pressure and invisible dust to startling effect. The Mad Scientist then introduces a real-life hovercraft that soars on air yet is strong enough to carry a child (or a teacher!) for a ride.

The audience is treated to "Swoosh, Whoosh, AAAH!", where a liquid evaporated into a gas creates an awe- (and aaah) inspiring explosion. The event concludes with a dinosaur-size sneeze, much like in the movies. Each exciting experiment is complemented by funny jokes and scientific understanding.
