Gusto the Great
Gus Davis (aka "Gusto the Great") has studied magic since he was 11 years old, and has been performing professionally since he was 13. Now a 21 year-old Senior at the University of Texas on full scholarship, he is actively involved in Austin's Magic Camp, teaching and directing approximately 600 children each summer, and for which he also teaches in after-school programs in Austin-area schools.
Gus has traveled across Texas performing magic on-stage at such venues as Safari, AquaFest, the Great Tastes of Austin, for corporate staff seminars, and at libraries and private parties. He also performs "up close" magic at restaurants or at such events as an outdoor Austin Symphony concert. He did a presentation for the Austin Independent School District about how to add magic to a science and math curriculum.
He has been featured on Fox News (early morning show), Channel 24 News (early show with Fred Cantu), and on News 36 (with Jim Swift.)
Gusto says, "Magic is anything that puts a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart!"
