Sue Young
Sue Young draws from an extensive repertoire of Latin American folktales, personal stories and contemporary and traditional music to customize each performance, and she will adapt her program for English-speaking, Spanish-speaking or bilingual audiences. Sue has performed her storytelling show in festivals, museums, theatres, libraries and schools around Texas and in New Mexico since 1994. Her presentations feature outstanding rapport with the audience, quality stories and songs, a high degree of audience participation and effective audience management techniques. Sue's performances provide messages that empower children to interact positively with themselves and their world while creating a knowledge of and appreciation for the Spanish language and Hispanic culture. Her programs are funded in part by the Texas Commission on the Arts and by the Heartland Arts Fund.
